I am glad to see our hard earned tax dollars at work on fixing the infrastructure, we know it has been along time coming. I slow down and follow the flag persons directions, wish the same could be said for the construction vehicles passing. My front windshield was cracked in 3 places when 3 dump trucks went by like a bat out of hell a couple weeks ago, then on Monday my rear hatch window was shattered. I definately paid a price for the improvements not only from tax dollar contribution but my pocket book as well.

This is a great website! Thank you for the work you do!

I also wanted to send out a message of thanks to the people hosting the picnic this past Saturday (July 17th) at Greenwood lodge. My kids had such a great time! Everyone was so friendly - lots of fun and great live music! Thanks again and we will look forward to next year!

Great site. Link placed on The Green Festival site. This sure helps coordinate events across the region and let people know what is out there to get involved in.

A colleague of mine told me about this website, I wrote down the address then when I got around to check it out I couldn't find the address. So I asked 3 women fro upriver if they heard of it and 2 had, and told me how to access the site. One said"Jjust Google Up River" I tried that with 1/2 million suggestions. Great concept here, I will be sure to add this site to my favourites.
Cheers Barry Robertson

###FORM_ENTRYCOMMENT###:
Hello,

thank you for your comments. One thing regarding search engines and upriver-news.ca: This website is far from complete. Right now it is just thought to be a partner to the printed version, more up-to-date and indepth. It is our intention to add much more content which makes upriver-news.ca an "all encompassing" community resource. Until we are a large step towards this goal we have set this site on "noindex", meaning that search engines should not show it. Once we are at a stage that we can offer a lot to others ouitside of the community we will remove the "noindex" and hopefully will soon be on the first page of google search results. Other sites we have designed and administered reached this goal within a very reasonable time. So please do stay tuned.

It is the goal of our guestbook to get some feedback regarding the website upriver-news.ca.  We appreciate criticism just as much as praise and both make us try even harder.  So please let us know what you like and what you would rather have changed.  Responses to individual articles, events, etc can be placed here as well.  If we see that there are many forthcoming, we will open a comment section in the context of the article itself.  In the open issues section we expect discussions and an exchange of ideas, so if you want to participate in this discussion please leave your comment under the relevant article. Öffnet einen internen Link im aktuellen Fenster This link will lead you to the list of open issues.

The entries in this guestbook do not necessarily represent our opinion.  To promote an open exchange of ideas we publish all entries, except those that are clearly illegal, of terrible taste or SPAM entries.  To weed out these problem cases all entries are displayed only after they have been read by a team member.  We are sorry about the resulting delay.

Want to make us smile ?
