Faith

"For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?" (Mark 8, 36 KJV)

In the Upriver area we are fortunate that many people see that this question posed by Jesus is worthwhile considering when they make decisions in their daily lives.  They are encouraged to do so not only by dedicated and faithful ministers but also by other believers.  It is worth noting that this fellowship goes beyond congregational and even confessional boundaries without losing substance.  In Bible classes held in the area it is not unusual to find members of four or more confessions reading the bible together and praying together.  Three area church choirs and one from (just) out of area meet monthly to sing hymns to the glory of the Lord.
